FOURTH MEETING DISCUSSION

 - Language: give instructions:

1. We often use orders to give instructions. We use "softener" as you can, you can and just to make instructions sound more polite.
  Example - Drag the window to the left
      - Can you double-click the icon below?

2. We use a sequencer (eg first, then, then, after that, finally) to show the sequence of steps.
Exampel: - First, just click the "start" button. Then select "shut down" in the lower right corner.


- Work partner: take turns to explain this action. Look at the prompt on 7 ore using your own ideas.
How to close the program.
First, open the "file" menu. Then click "exit". Or click "X" in the upper-right corner of the window:

- Language: sentence with two objects

Some sentences have two objects. We often use prepositions between two objects (verbs + verb objects + prepositions + preposition objects).
Example: - I unplug the cable from the computer.

- Use two appropriate objects. Turn off the computer and projector:

6. press copy after selecting the photos to move
 7. then press paste after copying

Language : large and small numbers
For decimal values, we say “point” for the decimal points and pronounce the next numbers individually. We don’t always mention the 0 to the left of the decimal point for values ;less than 1
It’s 0,54 millimeters long
(‘nought point five four or “point five four. NOT “nought point fifty-four)
To express large and small numbers, we often use prefixes. For example, kilo-means 1,000. the main stress is on the first syllable of the prefix
